With the influx of raw materials and products via the port of Antwerp, which remained intact during the conflict, Frans Donckers spotted a business opportunity. He began by acquiring wrecks of military vehicles and, by dismantling the wheels, created the first foundations of what would become a major network. <strong>and the Donckers family with a fortune of 359 million euros.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Founded in 1946, the first establishment opened its doors on the Hessenplein in Paris. <a href=\"https:\/\/lama-fortune.com\/tag\/flandre\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"27\">Antwerp<\/a>.
