Legal disputes broke out, with Dominiek accusing, among other things his brothers money laundering<\/a>.<\/strong> These tensions became entangled in an extensive tax investigation into Beaulieu. Dominiek eventually reached a settlement, paying 10 million euros for himself and his company, a further 15 million to settle disputes with the tax authorities.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2020, a conciliation resulted in a rebalancing of the De Clerck family's shareholding in Beaulieu, although details of this new arrangement remain undisclosed to date.<\/p>\n\n\n
